Silence notifications

Your iPhone can go quiet when you open One Bell and come back when you leave. This uses iOS Focus mode — nothing to install, nothing to configure inside the app.

Set up a Focus automation

  1. Open the Shortcuts app.
  2. Tap the Automation tab at the bottom.
  3. Tap +, then tap App.
  4. Choose One Bell. Make sure "Is Opened" is selected. Tap Next.
  5. Search for "Set Focus" and select it.
  6. Set it to turn on Do Not Disturb (or any Focus you prefer). Tap Next, then Done.
  7. Repeat the process — but this time choose "Is Closed" and set the Focus to turn off.

Make sure One Bell is allowed through your Focus mode so the ending bell can still reach you.

Done. Your phone will go quiet every time you open the app, and come back when you leave.
